A crazy start to the Spanish league and very disappointing for Atlético Madrid!
A crazy start to the Spanish league and very disappointing for Atlético Madrid!
Atlético Madrid played their first La Liga match today against Espanyol, fielding new signings such as Baena and Mada,
and played very well, taking a clean lead and even hitting the crossbar!
The problem was that Diego Simeone decided in the 68th minute to take out his clean players like Baena

and Almadra, and then Alvarez came out after them!
As a result, Espanyol dominated the game and made a comeback in exactly 10 minutes, scoring two goals and winning the game in the end!
Espanyol, who were relegated last season, won their first match against Atlético Madrid,
who spent more than €150 million this year, making it the first time Atlético Madrid have lost their first league match since 2009, a completely unexpected surprise!

Nicholas Williams started the season with Bilbao in spectacular fashion!
Williams did everything today against Sevilla, scoring one goal, assisting two, winning a penalty, hitting the crossbar, making seven successful dribbles,
and completing 21 passes, 12 of which were successful. He played the game of his life!
Bilbao was leading 2-0 and Sevilla managed to come back to 2-2.
In the last 10 minutes, Williams left his position and moved to the opposite side of the field, setting up the winning goal.

After the game, the Bilbao fans said they couldn’t believe it, that he was the reason they were still in the game!
Imagine if Williams had gone to Barcelona and played with Yamal, and each of them had scored a goal.
La Liga would have been a different story!
