I don’t know how people can still have such high hopes for a team like this, honestly.

A team that doesn’t know how to press, doesn’t defend under the ball, and doesn’t control matches with the ball—and yet people are still convinced that Mourinho or someone else will change this team’s reality.

The problems with balance and squad building that Real Madrid has had for years were bound to surface eventually, especially after losing the players who provided the team with some balance and made them competitive—like Benzema – Luka – Kroos are gone, and what’s worse is that instead of replacing them with a true striker or a true midfielder, Real signed players who are already tactically demanding and have only exacerbated the imbalance that’s existed for years.

And what’s worse is that everything is changing except for the quality of the players—which is, in fact, the root of the problem, not the coach.
